Overview
Songs of home and distance: Grieg's folk miniatures, Nielsen's windswept dances and Sibelius's grave Voces intimae — the quartet in which a dying composer hid his autobiography.
Recorded at the height of a Baltic winter with the studio windows open to the snow, Northern Lyric is our quietest album and, many listeners tell us, our most loved.
