Overview
Chopin never wrote a note for string quartet — which is precisely why we spent two years writing it for him. These are our own arrangements: the Nocturnes given four breathing voices, the Ballades unfolded as the miniature epics they always were.
Claire Dubois arranged every bar around the quartet's actual sound — Elena's silver top line, Matthias's dark anchor — so nothing here could be played by anyone else. The result won the Echo Klassik and never left our touring cases.
